CT STUDY OF HEAD

Infratentorial

Fourth ventricle is normal in size and midline in location.


Cerebellar parenchyma and brain stem appears to be normal.

Supratentorial

Multiple hyperdense areas of blood density are seen in bilateral


cerebral parenchyma ,largest measuring 57x41mm in right frontal region.

Hyperdense collections of blood density are seen along inner table of


skull in right fronto-temporo-parietal region with maximum thickness
of 13mm in right temporal region .

Blood is seen in left sylvian fissure and along interhemispheric


fissure.

Basal cisterns are effaced.

Third and right lateral ventricles are compressed.

Midline shift to left is seen.

Bony architecture

Fracture right temporal bone is seen with soft tissue scalp swelling
in parieto-occipital region .

IMPRESSION:

FRACTURE RIGHT TEMPORAL BONE WITH MULTIPLE INTRAPARENCHYMAL HEMATOMAS


WITH HEMORRHAGIC CONTUSIONS WITH EXTRADURAL AND SUBDURAL BLEED WITH
SUBARACHNOID BLEED WITH MASS EFFECT AND MIDLINE SHIFT.

Clinical correlation is necessary.
