METHOD OF

INSTALLATION
BASIN
Step 1
The basin and pedestal will come as two separate parts. Start
with the basin and fix the taps to it, ensuring that first attach
the flexible tap hoses to the tap tails, Make sure the tap(s)
is/are at 90 degrees to the inner rim.
Step 2
Fit the waste into position. If weve opted for a more
traditional plug and chain waste, fix the bolt into position.
Step 3
Put the pedestal into our desired position and place the
basin on top of it, making sure that the basin is flat against
the wall and sits squarely on top of the pedestal.
Step 4
Using pencil, mark the position of the pedestal and screw
holes on the floor and the position of the basin fixing holes
on the wall.
Step 5
Move the basin and pedestal away from the wall.
Step 6
Using your electric drill, drill pilot holes in the floor and wall
for the fixing screws, and fit rawl plugs.

Step 7
Make adjustments to the water and waste pipes where
required.

Step 8
Position the pedestal back against the wall and screw in part
of the way (not fully).
Step 9
Place the basin on top of the pedestal again. Check its level
with your spirit level and adjust if required. Screw into the
wall using your pilot holes.
Step 10
Stick masking tape to the base of the pedestal and seal
around the edges (where it meets the floor) using silicone
sealant and your sealant gun.
Handy hint: Before it dries, cut away any excess silicone sealant
for a tidy finish.
Step 11
Screw the floor screws in fully.
Step 12
Attach the waste pipe to the waste trap and also attach the
flexible connectors to the waste pipes.
Step 13
Make sure there arent any leaks by turning the water back
on at the mains. If any leakage occurs, check the connectors
and tighten as required.
METHOD OF
INSTALLATION
HAND SHOWER
Step 1
Remove Existing Shower Head
The first step is to make sure shower faucets are firmly turned off.
Then remove the old shower head using an adjustable wrench. If you
look at the existing shower head, you'll notice flat spots on what's
called a pipe nipple at the base of the shower head where the head
screws into the goose-neck pipe that sticks out of the wall.

Take an adjustable wrench and adjust the wrench snugly onto the
base of the shower head flat spots.

Step 2
Prepare Goose-Neck Threads
Once you've cleaned the threads of old debris, you should wrap the
threads in Teflon tape to prevent leakage when the new shower head
is installed.

Take about 9-12 inches of Teflon tape and wrap it around the threads
in a CLOCKWISE direction for several turns (4-5).
Don't extend above the threaded area or else the tape will show
when the new head is installed.
Take your fingers and gently press the tape into the threads.
Step 3

Install Hand Held Shower - Standard Fitting

A standard fitting for a hand held shower is one that will attach to the
existing shower arm coming through the wall and REPLACES the
shower head with the flexible hand held shower supply pipe and
hand shower unit.

To install this type of unit, proceed as follows:

The shower head is designed either to fasten to the end of the shower
arm or to a bracket that will attach to the wall. It depends on the model of
hand held shower you have purchased.

Step 4

Install Hand Held Shower - Cross "T" Diverter Fitting

A cross "T" diverter fitting for a hand held shower is one that will
attach to the existing shower arm coming through the wall on one
end, will attach the existing shower head to the other end. The
flexible hand held shower supply pipe and hand shower unit also
attach to the cross "T". To install this type of unit, proceed as follows:

The installation is the same as the previous page Install Hand Held Shower
- Standard Fitting except that you will also replace the old shower head (or
a new one if you'd like) to the end of the cross "T".
Step 5
Install Hand Held Shower - Tub Spout Mounting

Remove old tub spout.

Replace with new tub spout having the same attachment method as the old
(screw-on or slip-on). If screw-on type, take about 9-12 inches of Teflon
tape and wrap it around the threads in a clockwise direction for several
turns (4-5) before attaching the tub spout.
