Application for Scholarship

I hereby apply for a scholarship from your ministry to undertake a BA progamme at the University of The
Gambia.

A Gambian by birth, I obtained the Primary Teachers and the Higher Teachers Certificates in 1995 and
2007 respectively. On completion of the H.T.C programme, I was posted to XXXX Senior Secondary School
where I am teaching English Language. The subjects I majored at the Gambia College are English Language
and Social and Environmental Studies.

Having looked at the targets set by your ministry, I indeed feel obligated to pursue academic excellence so
as to more meaningfully contribute to the its core goals for quality education across the educational tiers.

I have enclosed copies of my certificates and transcripts.
