Lesson Number 2

This class was much better. Students worked motivated and enthusiastically and nothing out of the
blue happened, fortunately.
After the previous class, their teacher had suggested me to think about a song or made them rest for a
while in order to calm them down. I didnt agree with the idea of wasting time because I needed to plan
activities and do them with the whole class. So for this particular class, I had prepared a very simple but
attractive activity. The folded magic draw.
Having talked to the teacher and discussed with her the activity. We prepared coloured glue and I took
to the class different drawings, all connected to the weather, for them to discover. So after the routines songs
and some game to revise the vocabulary, they sat at their tables and I explained the activity. First, I showed
them the different drawing and they had to choose one from 4 different files (they had sunny, windy, rainy and
cloudy drawings). They put overdrew the picture with some coloured glue, just the half of the drawing and
folded the paper. They waited for 5 seconds and when they opened it, they discovered that the drawing was
fully done and they could name the weather that this picture represented. They really enjoyed the class and
the activity. They wanted to do another one and this was just great.
I felt that all the time that I had spent thinking about a good activity to learn the weather words was
useful because they loved the activity and I achieved my objective: that they could recognize and answer the
question connected to the weather.
