Boston University’s MSCIS Program – in a League of its Own
The National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) designated the Metropolitan College
Department of Computer Science as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education for
academic years 2007 through 2012 and a National Center for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Research for
academic years 2008 through 2013. The Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) has also certified the Security
Computer Science Department at Boston University’s Metropolitan College. Additionally, the Project Management
Institute’s GAC has accredited MSCIS for project management. A MSCIS degree is validated by top governing institutions
