Trade: 22 Plumbing
• Pertorm full leak detection inspection
o Assess any extra leak problems in home
o Remedy any existing water damage
• Water heater:
o Repair/install double wall (B-Vent) through building cavity
• Maintain I" Clearance to drywall and combustible materials
• Use fire-rated caulk to seal B-Vent flange to drywall
o Insulate exposed hot and cold water pipes with foam pipe insulation (R-4)
• Ensure 3' space between single wall vent pipe. Use correct Diameter of
insulation sleeve so it fits tightiy.
• Seal at wall penetrations
o Rebuild water heater platform
o Install sediment trap on gas line to water heater
o Install metal vent collar (to provide I" min clearance from combustibles). Seal all gaps and

penetrations,
• Install low-flow faucet aerators <1.5 gpm
• Install low-flow kitchen faucet aerators 2.2 gpm max
• Install low-flow EPA WaterSense approved faucets <1.5 gpm (approx. 4)
