Hamilton Island is quite simply paradise
The crystal blue waters and snow white
beaches of the Whitsunday Islands
provide a tropical playground like no
other. Here are a few tips to keep in
mind as you are packing...
We can expect blue skies and
temperatures between 20-30oC with a
slight risk of some spectacular tropical
thunder storms. There is no better time
of year to visit northern Queensland.
Smart casual day wear is appropriate
for the majority of the Conference.
Sunscreen, hats and walking shoes are
recommended for outdoor activities.

The Sunday Cocktail Welcome Reception
and Monday Expo Mixer & Dinner are
smart casual/cocktail attire events. You
should wear semi-formal attire for the
Wednesday night Gala Dinner & Awards
of Excellence (gents collared shirt and
trousers, no need for a tie).
Environment
While there is an abundance of
restaurants, bars and resorts on Hamilton
Island, only a third of the island is
developed - meaning the rest remains
in its pristine, natural state. There are
more than a dozen walking trails through
which guests can explore the island.
Hamilton Island is on one of the worlds
greatest natural wonders, the Great
Barrier Reef. Guests can join tours,
fishing trips try snorkelling, or go for a

Arriving at Hamilton Island
Flights and Ferries to Hamilton Island are
met by Hamilton Island staff. You and
your luggage will be transferred to your
accommodation via an airport shuttle.
Check in is at 2:00pm. It is recommended
that you bring a day pack (containing
swimwear, sunscreen, hat, towel etc)
with you if you are arriving on the island
before 2pm.
The resort-side of the Island is less than
10 minutes from the airport and
5 minutes from the marina.
Leaving Hamilton Island
An airport shuttle operates from all
Hamilton Island owned properties
Check out time is 10am.
(Hamilton Island will provide bag
collection and shuttle times in your
check-in welcome pack, if you are staying
at a Hamilton Island owned property)
While youre on Hamilton Island
Breakfast
Any guests that have pre-paid for
breakfast may dine at Pool Terrace,
Sails Restaurant and the Wildlife Park.
Any pre-paid breakfast information will
be listed on each restaurant manifest.
Where breakfast is not included guests
may charge this back to their room
accounts at $34pp.
Service of Alcohol
Hamilton Island is legally required to
refuse service of alcohol to intoxicated or
disorderly patrons under the RSA Liquor
Licensing Laws. Hamilton Island also
reserves the right not to serve anyone
under the age of 18 years.
Internet
Guests can access the internet service in
their personal devices WiFi options, by
choosing the Hamilton Island network.
WiFi is available in any of our conference
rooms, Reef Lounge and Resort Centre
hotspots. For in-room WiFi connectivity,
guests may follow the directions on the
TV Screen in each room.
