oman
Extreme adventures D
opamine, commonly known as happy
hormone, is an organic chemical present
in our body that gets released in large
numbers when you come in contact with
something you like. Apparently many
chocolates contain ingredients that help
in releasing dopamine. That explains my addiction to
Nutella. However, adrenaline is completely different. It
is this hormone that causes the adrenaline rush, which
is something you experience when you are put in a situa-
tion that is extremely threatening or exciting. But whats
common between the dopamine rush and adrenaline
rush is that they can both be very addictive.
While there have been never ending debates on how
one shouldnt be an adrenaline junkie, once you get a
taste of it and your system enjoys it thoroughly, then
there might be no looking back.
This is what Twenty3 Extreme facilitates. It is an
adventure group based in Oman that pushes bounda-
ries (sometimes literally) to make sure you feel the
adrenaline rush and challenge yourself physically and
mentally while enjoying Omans picturesque landscape
and making great use of its relief features for adventure
sports and activities. The advantages of enrolling with an
active team like these are many. They organise events on
a regular basis, thus feeding your rush constantly.
There are trained professionals that will accompany
you for each of these trips. So yes, you are in safe hands.
Also, the certified trainers will guide you in giving you
useful tips and tricks that you can use later while ventur-
ing out on your own.
It is also a great way to meet new people and socialise
with men and women from different backgrounds.
You will get to explore the unexplored areas of the
Middle Easts hidden gem and appreciate the natural
beauty and grandeur of the Sultanate.
And finally, it is not just one activity that you get to try
but a wide range of adventure sports including canyon-
ing, caving, mountain climbing, mountain biking, road
biking, kite-surfing, scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, trek-
king, desert camping. So you are certainly not going to
get bored of doing the same thing at the same place every
weekend.
So for this weeks to-do list, we recommend you join
Twenty3 Extreme and explore Omans adventure side
while learning and having a lot of fun in the process.

T
hough crop tops have been in and out of fashion
since 1980s (or maybe even earlier), theyre en-
joying a major comeback again this summer. This
week well show you 10 ways to style them.

Match it seamlessly with the bottom half: Pretty much as

an inseparable set like they were made to be worn together
and nothing but that. Use it to make a more strong statement
at a high-profile event. Itll draw attention to the wholeness
of the entire outfit with the crop top adding a bit of the edgy
vibe.

Shorts with an extra crop top: If youve been working on

your midsection lately and are just itching to show it off, this
duo is for you. A staple for holidays (think music festivals,
concerts or beaches) theres nothing more attractive than a
pair of fitted shorts and a well-cropped top. If you are one of
those who like to show off, but a bit more subtly, go for high-
waisted shorts.

Under a dungaree: If you thought dungarees are just meant

for cowgirls you might want to check out how celebrities
like Alessandra Ambrosio are sporting them. Theres just
something really casual yet chic about this combination (and
oh, lets not forget comfortable). So to spice it up just a little,
while not taking away the element of comfort, put on a fancy
crop top instead of the boring T-shirts below a denim dunga-
ree. Its perfect to transit from a snugly coffee at home to an
afternoon of shopping with the girls.

Loose crop top over a bodycon dress: Its all about playing
with silhouettes for this one. If skin-hugging attires were a
little outside your comfort level and crop tops were a strict
no-no, bringing these two together will conceal any bulges
and make you fall in love with your curves all over again.

Make it formal with a blazer: An elegantly styled crop

top when worn with a pair of formal pants, a neat blazer and
stilettos will ensure you ace that meeting with just your mere
presence. Its bold, stylish and speaks highly of your taste.

Layer under sheer: Dont want to wear a boring spaghetti or

tank top under the fancy sheer top you got? Try a fitted crop
instead. You could have the crop top end just above your mid
riff for some added oomph.

With a long coat: If theres a crop top you love but are still
battling skepticism to flaunt it solo, wear it under a flow-y
coat and throw on your favourite pair of jeans. Whether
lightweight or a little heavy duty (depending on the season of
course), a nice long coat will give you ample coverage and you
can always leave it open or closed according to how comfort-
able you are feeling at any given moment.

Tight crop top over a looser shirt: Perfect for the bustier
ones. Go for a traditional white shirt if you want to keep it
more sober or swap it for a brighter floral if youre feeling
bubblier, and pull down a black halter-neck crop top over it.
The black will give a slimming effect against the contrasting
colours beneath.

Hem line pulled up: This is a particular style of crop top

that works well for those seeking a little height. Couple this
with high-waisted straight pants and heels to create the illu-
sion of longer legs and uninterrupted silhouette from torso to
ground.

Wide trousers: Palazzos, harems and flared pants; theres

something really flirty about this look. An off shoulder crop
top is a perfect choice to create this look effortlessly.

Where to shop
Dior
Theres no denying that Sauvage is one of the best perfumes ever
made, and my absolute favourite. So when I heard that Dior has
opened its first beauty store at City Walk Mall in Dubai, I got ex-
cited, and the hype that was taking place online added fuel to my
curiosity. The store is classy and a fragrance wonderland that
serves you luxury at its purest form.

As I entered the store, I was welcomed by the super friendly

manager and her team, where they gave me a quick tour of what
the store has to offer. Youd think you know all about Dior, but
wait till you step into this place. Your jaw will drop to the floor.
The boutique hosts exclusive editions of perfumes, as well as
private collections such as La Collection Privee Christian; the
only Dior skincare range for men in the UAE, exclusive makeup
and beauty products for the ladies, and pre-launches two weeks
before anywhere else in the region.

Thats not all. The Dior store also works as a one-stop-shop for
beauty, as it offers a salon for treatments, makeup, and other
exclusive beauty services done by experts in the game. You
can even book the entire store to get you and your guests all
dolled up for an event. The stand-alone store has something
for everyone, which fits a variety of budgets. Its definitely a
must-visit, especially for men as their Homme selections need
no introduction.

Up in the Air with Flydubai

I am a huge fan of road trips to Dubai, but when I am alone I prefer to fly, and this time around I got to
experience Flydubai business class for the very first time. The booking process for business class is plain
and simple. You get a pass to an elite lounge at the airport where you can fill up your stomach with a great selection of food from the buffet
and relax until boarding time. After boarding, we were welcomed by the super friendly and attentive cabin crew who gave us refreshments and
towels to get set for the journey. Now, for my favourite part, the food. Flying in general is not that fun for me, so food is what keeps me excited
really. The choices onboard are probably some of my favourites. The presentation and selection has a luxe feel to it. I had some cheese, smoked
salmon on a toasted goodness, and more. The seats are comfortable, making the short trip even smoother. And, the best part is the fares are
relatively reasonable. Flydubai will probably be my go-to flight for my regional trips. It travels internationally, too.
Flydubai offers 6 daily flights to Muscat. For more information log on to flydubai.com

Directed by Andy Muschietti, IT is an American horror film based on Stephen Kings 1986 novel of the same
name. The film tells the story of seven children in Derry, Maine, who are terrorised by a magical evil clown.
The terror starts with a child getting his arm ripped off and it continues. If you are looking for some incredible
amount of fear then IT is a must watch as it is the return of Pennywise, the monster clown. Critics say it is a real
creepy, bloody, super funny, and adorably romantic movie of the year. Stephen King, the author of the original
novel too has praised the film and the portrayal of all the characters.
