WHO MAY JOIN
Open to all Public and Private High School Students in Metro Manila.
Open to all Senior Citizens, 60 years old and above in Metro Manila.
All Board Members, employees and volunteers of the MTRCB, members of their
immediate households, and their relatives up to the fourth (4 th) degree of
affinity or consanguinity are not qualified to join the competition.

HOW TO JOIN
Interested students and Senior Citizens are required to pre-register online.
I. Registration form should be downloaded from the official website
of the MTRCB (www.mtrcb.gov.ph) and must be properly
accomplished;
II. The said form should be emailed to otc@mtrcb.gov.ph with the
subject, POSTER MAKING CONTEST 2017_School_LAST NAME_FIRST
NAME on Wednesday, 27 SEPTEMBER 2017, 12:00 AM until Monday
10 September 2017, 11:59 PM.
Only the first 25 students and first 25 senior citizens who are able to email the
accomplished registration form shall be accommodated.
Qualified Students and Senior Citizens should be available on Saturday, 14
October 2017, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the MTRCB Building, No. 18 Timog
Avenue, Quezon City for the said competition proper.

MECHANICS
1. The competition is ON-THE-SPOT. The contest begins at 9:00 AM at the Liezl S.
Martinez Hall, 4th Floor MTRCB Building. On-site registration starts at 8:00 AM.
Contestants will be given 2 hours to complete their work.
2. At the registration booth, each contestant will be given an assigned number.
At the end of the allotted time for the contest, contestant must attach the
number on the lower left-hand back-side of the poster.
3. MTRCB shall provide the sketch pad and all art materials to be used during the
competition.
1. The poster should focus on the theme of the summit:
SAKAY NA BATANG PINOY, BYAHENG MEDIA, BYAHENG MTRCB.
MTRCB Bilang Daluyan ng Kaugaliang Pilipino
2. Teachers or coaches are not allowed to come close to the contestants during
the contest proper.
3. A board of judges will be selected for the contest. The criteria for judging are
as follows:
Relevance to the theme: 40%
Creativity and presentation: 40%
Originality: 20%
TOTAL 100%
4. Winners will be announced within the day. The grand winners poster may be
used as the official theme logo for the 5th Family and Child Summit and may
be used in all publicity materials and collaterals of the said event.
5. The awarding of winners will be held during the 5th Family and Child Summit on
02 December 2017. Non-winning entries will be given a certificate of
appreciation signed by the MTRCB Chairperson.
6. All rights of the entries shall be assigned to the MTRCB. The winning entries will
be exhibited during the summit.
