Opening Prayer:

Lord, Almighty Father, we praise and glorify your name. Before we start this
Recognition Program, we stand before you in humble prayer, asking for
pardon for all our shortcomingsfor all the evil we've done and for all the
good we've failed to do. We realize, Lord, that without your blessings and
understanding, we would not have been able to succeed in our plans and
achieve the goals we have set upon ourselves. We thank you for our parents,
teachers, classmates and friends who have served as your instruments in
moulding us to our betterment and into the persons that we are today. We
thank you for all the lessons learned, the expectations met, and the limits
defied. We plead you Lord, bless us. Bestow your grace and divine wisdom
upon all of us present here and give us strength and courage to continue
living in accordance to your will. Grant us zeal and a humble spirit that we
may learn to serve others with the blessings youve given us. Strengthen our
faith, that we may never forget to turn to you whether in greatness and
happiness or in doubt and sorrow. Instil in our hearts, Lord, a sense of
vocation that we may not just be inclined academically but also spiritually
and socially. Guide us always, that we may understand that we must live not
only for ourselves but for others as well.
