Set up groups unknown placement group
To create an unknown group

1. Click the Admin tab and


select Manage placement
groups

2. Click Create placement


group and select Young
Learner
Set up groups unknown placement group

3. Give your group a name


in step 1

4. In step 2, select the first


option and enter the
number of students
5. Click save

Tip for printing login slips

Important:- The system gives each unknown student a


number instead of a name. You must match your students
to these numbers to view their results. There are two ways
to do this:

1. Enter the students real names now (recommended).


Students names will be printed on the login slips and
shown in the results table.
2. Write the students names on the login slips when you
have printed them at the end of step 2. Students
names will not appear in the results table. You will
need to keep the login slips and match them in the
results table to the students names on the slips
Set up groups importing students details
To import a file of students create the placement group

1. Click the Admin tab and


select Manage placement
groups

2. Click Create placement


group and select Young

3. Give your group a name


in step 1

4. In step 2, select the


third option
5. Click save

To create your file and import your students

1. Click the Admin tab and


select Import from files

2. For extra help creating your


file. Click placement

2 to download Excel template

4. Delete the sample data

5. Enter Student ID, Last name,


First name and Email. All others
are optional
6. Save the file on your
computer

return to Step 1 and click

generate usernames and passwords
automatically

Important:- remember to write your students names on


the login slips, as the students names will not appear in the
results table.

You will need to keep the login slips and match the numbers
in the results table to the names written on the slips
