Lifelong Learning is the process of continuous acquiring and enhancing of skills

and knowledge for mastery in line with a certain standard, vocational and professional
abilities throughout the entire life of an individual. It may be acquired in a formal or
informal way and system. Some approaches and strategies were used in order to
achieve Lifelong Learning:

1. Mentoring it is one of the typical approach that is being used wherein

learners have identified mentors who will support, assist, and guide them with tender
loving care in their lifelong learning. It may be shown through accompanying (joining
the trainees in their learning), sowing (providing lecture), catalyzing (inspiring),
showing (providing demos) and harvesting (giving a good example).

2. Application it may also be called as experiential learning. It is the actual use

of gained knowledge and skills to complete hands-on projects which will eventually help
us in solving problems in life.

3. Remediation for those people who experiences difficulties in accomplishing

competencies/ skills, this will be the best strategy for them. It focuses mainly on the part
where learners find it difficult to understand. E.g. remedial classes

4. Demonstration Sessions this lets the trainee learn by observing a model who
or which serves as an example that explains an abstract or difficult concept.

5. Study/ Peer learning Groups here, the learners were encouraged to develop
self-help study groups with fellow groups. Sharing of ideas in a peer group is more
lighter way but is also more fun to do. Lots of ideas will easily be acquire in a more
relaxing way.
