District Play Continues

This week district play continued as your Tiger Football Teams clashed
with the Harris Hawks and the Ed White Eagles. On Tuesday, your
Blue and White Teams faced off with Harris MS. In 7th grade action,
your Tigers came out ready to play and defended our field coming
away with two victories. Your 8th grade Tigers faced a tough Harris team
fighting to the very end and falling short in the first game and tying the
second. On Wednesday, your Red Tiger Teams traveled to Ed White to
play the Eagles. Your 7th grade Tigers worked hard all game, but came
up even with the Eagles. Your 8th grade Tigers had a no quit attitude and
took control of the game in the fourth quarter with their Oopty-Oop
Reverse Pass to win the game. All your Tiger teams played hard and
represented Tex Hill extremely well. You may view the football results
here.

Please come out and support your Tiger Blue and White Football Teams
on Wednesday, Oct. 11, as your 8th grade Tigers host Bush MS and your
7th grade Tigers as they travel to Bush to face the Bulldogs. Please come
out and support your 7th and 8th Grade Tiger Red Football Teams on
Thursday, Oct. 12, as your Tigers host the Bush Bulldogs.

Coaches Corner
This week I would like to introduce you to Coach Matt
Guess. Coach Matt Guess grew up in San Antonio
and is a NEISD product. Coach Guess states, As a
product of NEISD, I am proud to continue the
excellent traditions at our newest middle
school. What a great opportunity we have at Tex Hill
Middle School to make a statement in the district. I
look forward to taking a brand new tennis team out into some stiff
competition and seeing what we're made of. So far it has been a blast
teaching English, and I'm ready to hit the courts. Along with his teaching
duties, Coach Guess is our Head Tennis Coach here at Tex Hill Middle
School.

Tiger Nation
Tiger Football: Reminder- Be an enthusiastic Tex Hill fan. Always display
the class and pride for which we are known. Degrading of any player or
referee/official is not representative of the Tex Hill tradition. Referees/officials
may penalize any team for spectator behavior.

We ask that Parents, please do not coach your child from the bleachers/
stands. During the year, you may not always agree with a decision we make or
an offense or defense that we are running. Your children love you and look up
to you. What you say to your child will not change the coachs decision, but
only cause doubt in your childs mind and may cause dissension within the
team. We would hope that if you have concerns you would contact the
appropriate coach for a conference. Please be aware that we are under the
leadership of the Johnson High School programs and follow their direction
within our programs.

Please click on our Tex Hill Athletic Website for all information regarding our
program. The website is updated regularly, so please check it often for updates

document and is subject to change. If you have not already subscribed to
Coach Lozanos Text Reminders please do so. This is another way to receive
information regarding our athletic program.
