Javier CE 414 BUILDING DESIGN

FOUR STOREY SVD RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

Last August 31, 2017 the class of CE 414 visited a site near the campus. The
project being made is a four-floored residential building for the priests residing in the campus.
The contractor for the project is E.P Ventura Construction and the project engineer is Engr. Steve
Narisma. The building is composed of private and semi-private rooms with an ICU. The total
floor area of the building is 28.20 21.30 m with each column having a dimension of 300 600
mm and beams of 300 500 mm in size. The size of CHB being used in the perimeter are 15
20 40 mm and in the interior, are 10 20 40 in size. The project started last summer in the
month of May and expected to be finished within a year. Overall the site visit was informative
because the staff and the workers were very accommodating and hospitable.
