Business Sphere Award for SGI

In its 8 th award function held on 28 th July 29, 2010, at Ramada Plaza, New Delhi, SGI
was presented an award for being “Best upcoming professional college with best
infrastructure” the award was received by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Goel, Director, SGI. The award was
presented by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal , Nishank , Hon’ble chief minister of Uttrakhand. Many
dignitaries including Jenab Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Hon’ble minister for new and renewable
energy saver sh. Harish Rawat minister of state for labour and employment, sh. Mangat ram
singal minister of social welfare, labour employment, law and justice, prof. Smt. Kiran walia,
minister of health, Dr. Nitish Sain Gupta, chairman, reconstruction of public sector enterprise
and Sh. Ajay Sahai, DG, FIEO were present on this occasion.

SGI Participates in District Level career Orientation Programme:

Mrs. Sarita Goel, Member-executive of SGI participated in the district level career
orientation programme in the area of civil engineering organized by Aryan Youth Club, Panipat.
Mrs Sarita Goel explained to students the up-coming opportunities in the field of civil
engineering due to massive infra-structural Development Programme undertaken by union
government and Corporate in Reality Sector.

SGI Organize ‘ Adhyapak Samman samaroh’

In collaboration with Manav Kalyan mandal Karnal, SGI organized a function for
honoring Teacher for their outstanding contribution on july, 2010. Smt. Sumita Singh, MLA was
Chief Guest. Dr. Mahivir Nain, Principal Government College for women also graced the
occasion an distinguished guest. Mrs. Sarita Goel, Member executive at SGI welcomed the
guests. Hon’ble chief guest and Distinguished guest honored 51 teachers for their outstanding
contributions.

Career Counseling Seminar for Diploma Holder:

SGI organized a career counseling seminar for Diploma in Engineering/Technology on
July, 2010. Mrs. Vidhi Gandhi gave a detailed presentation in the context of career
opportunities for diploma holder. Dr. Rajesh Goel, Director SGI also addressed the students and
gave them valuable tips for their careers.
 Virtual Conference on Computer Net-work Security Strategies:
Under the educational banner of CISCO, SGI organized a virtual conference on
‘computer Network Security Strategies’ on 30 th June, 2010. Mr. Rob & Mr. Jennifer from USA
provided expect guidance through a virtual conference.

In addition to SGI students and faculty, many students from neighboring institutes also
participated in the event. Dr. Rajesh Goel, Director SGI and CA Mrs. Sarita Goel, Member-
executive SGI graced the occasion by their presence.

Workshop on Web/Password Ethical Hacking

Dr.(Ms) Prinyanka and her team from M/s Cefin Technologies held a workshop on
‘web/password Ethical hacking’ at SGI on 17 th, 2010. Workshop was widely attended by faculty
and students

Seminar on Global Career with IBM

‘SGI organized a seminar on Global career with IBM ’ on 9th July, 2010 at its
campus, Mr. Gabby Jones, Manager Aria Region gave a detailed talk on the theme
of the seminar. IBM is an education partner of SGI and we keep on holding
seminar on IBM technologies. On their occasion, Dr. Rajesh Goel, Director SGI,
Prof. HL Chhatwal, Dean Faculty of Management and CA Mrs. Sarita Goel,
member-executive were also present. Dr. Rajesh Goel Presented a memento to
Mr. Gabby Jones.
