PROPOSED NAME OF THE BUSINESS

“SIP N’ SURF CAFÉ” is the name for the proposed business plan; “SIP”
representing the availability of food and drinks in the internet café; “N” for the
abbreviation of ‘and’; and “SURF” relating to the use of internet or computer.

TYPE OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATION

Since the group is composed of five (5) individuals, each one of us has agreed
and decided to be partners. The group preferred to use partnership as a type of
business organization.

Partnership- is a grouping of two (2) or more persons binds themselves to contribute

money, property, or industry into a common fund with the intention of dividing profits
among themselves.

Benefits of partnership type of business we are establishing:

 Partnership is relatively easy to establish; however times should be invested in

developing the partnership agreement, in our case there’s no problem about it because
we are mostly friends and we are devoted to make our business progress.
 With more than one owner, the ability to raise funds- Debt vs. Equity maybe increased.
 Enhanced capital availability. Two or more people will be providing and searching for
capital. In addition, funding sources are more likely to entertain financing request
because of the broader capital base.
  The profit from the business flow directly to the business though the partners personal
tax return.
 Higher quality employees. Partnerships tend to attract better employees because of the
possibility of becoming a principal in the firm.
 Easy form. Procedures and expenses are minimized.
 The business usually benefit from partners who have complementary skills.
 Better decision- making capability. Two heads are better than one.
 Managerial flexibility. Generally, important decisions can be quickly, although not as fast
in a sole proprietorship.
 Limited government interference. Like sole proprietorship are normally free of extensive
governmental scrutiny.

LOCATION

Proposed location will be located at Camilmil, Calapan City beside the National Statistics
Office Building. Our prospective clients are basically everybody ̶ students doing their projects
and researches, middle income group who don’t have internet access in their living places, and
online gamers.

HISTORY

The story behind the idea of putting up a business started when we were in second year
college. As a requirement for the subject Principles of Marketing, we made our own marketing
plan. Each of us had made different businesses in the marketing plan, an Internet shop was not
one of those businesses. Since we had some ideas from the marketing plan we did, we decide to
make a venture. In order to come up into a different idea for a business venture, we thought of
a business that relates to what we usually do and what is on trend that could fit the modern
technology arising nowadays. We thought of different types of business that could go with the
competitive environment.

An internet shop and a snack bar was the business type that we had agreed to do. Since
internet and computer are two of the technologies that do not fade as time goes by and food is
a necessity for everybody. We decided to make this two field go together and put it up as a
business. Including a snack bar in an internet shop would be a good business, because it will give
convenience to the customers letting them eat and drink while surfing the internet.
