Nature of Task: Trial HSC Examination

H10 applies mathematical concepts appropriately in business situations

Format
Multiple choice (20 marks)
Short answers (40 marks)
Extended response with stimulus (20 marks)
Extended response (20 marks)

Performance Criteria:
In multiple choice questions, marks will be awarded for selection of the most correct alternative.
In short answer and extended response questions, marks will be awarded for:
- use of knowledge and information given
- ability to communicate using relevant business terminology and concepts
- ability to present a logical, well structured answer in an appropriate form
Absence from task:
You should make yourself aware of the schools policy for absences from assessment tasks. If
you know you will be absent, you must notify Mrs Layman in advance and be prepared to
complete the task beforehand. If you are absent on the day due to illness or misadventure, you
must notify Mrs Layman on the date. You must also get a doctors certificate. On the first day of
your return to school, you must report to the Studies Office before school and be prepared to do
the task. Do not wait for your next Business Studies lesson.
