RLC CIRCUIT

When t=0-

IL(0-) = 6/2K
= 3mA
Using voltage division in 1K resistor we can find
VC(0-) = 6/2k
=3mV
And we know that IL(0-) = IL(0+) and VC(0-) = VC (0+)

To find di(t)/dt we use

()
VL =
()
And VC = C
So we can find
()
VC(0+) = C

3m/3u = dv(0)/dt
Dv(0)/dt = 1000 v/sec

Using KVL we can get VL= L di(t)/dt

-6 + 1k(il(0+)) + VL + VC(0+)=0
VL = 2,997
So VL = L di(t)/dt
2,997/100m = di(0)/dt
Di(0)/dt = 29,97 A/sec

At t =

IL() = 0 A
VL() = 6 V

Since this is Series circuit so

= R/2L
= 2k/2.100m
=10K
= 1/Squareroot(LC)
=1/squareroot(100m.3u0
=1825,74

Since >
So this circuit is Overdamped
V(t) = Vss + vt
Vss = 6 V
Vt = A 1 +B 2

S12 = - ^2 ^2
S1= -19831,92
S2= -168,078
Vt = A 19831,92 +B 168,078
V(0) = A+B
3m = A+B become equation 1
Dv(t)/dt = -19831,92A 168,078B
1000 = -19831,92A 168,078B become equation 2
Solve equation 1 and 2 we get A and B
A= -0,0508
B= 0,0538
Vt = -0,0508 19831,92 +0,0538 168,078
So V(t) = Vss + vt

V(t) = 6 + (-0,0508, +0,0538, )

SIMULATION

As we can see at the graph above, when we substitute t=1 at manual calculation we get the
same answer as in the graph which is 6 V, Proven that the both result is same.
