The narrative structure of benefits

street follows a multi strand narrative as
there are different stories being told at
one point.

Linear narrative is followed in this

documentary because it follows a chain
of different events. These events and
stories are all followed in a
chronological order too.

An open narrative is also used in Benefits

Street as there are many unanswered
questions and story lines (like if Fungi can get
his life back on track). It also leaves those
questions open for the audience to make
their own opinions and interpretations on
people and their lifestyles on benefits.
