Zoot Suiters are being arrested and sent to jail
by the police. The majority of these Zoot Suiters were Mexican Americans. Anyone who was wearing zoot suits would be arrested. This occurred during the Zoot Suit Riot of 1943. The first fight between the Zoot Suiters and the servicemen was on May 31. The Zoot Suiters were blamed for starting the fight by the police, which encourage other servicemen to beat up Zoot suiters or anyone wearing zoot suits.
