I worked at a Day program for developmentally disabled adults who are both deaf and
blind. This job taught me a lot. I was responsible for taking individuals out on volunteer
jobs 4 days a week and also taking individuals to doctors appointment, on personal
errands, and to-and-from their homes. I was Certified Medication Technician and was
responsible for administering medication and properly documenting the medication
distribution. I am fluent in American Sign Language and was the only hearing staff. I
learned how to Tactile Sign at this job.
