Pilot Guide 1.6.1
v1.6.1
Published :
Must file a valid PIREP within 14 days of your registration being accepted
Must not have been previously removed from the virtual group for
inactivity
Pilots who leave Air Asia Virtual Group on disciplinary grounds will have
their account terminated. You will not be able to re-apply and any
attempts to do so will result in your application being rejected.
Pilots who resign from the airline will have the opportunity to re-apply
with their previous Pilot ID, hours, PIREPs and awards reinstated.
1.4.Leave of Absence
Pilots who foresee they will be unable to complete the minimum flight
required (1 per month) may submit a Leave of Absence request through
the provided facility on the website. Pilots may not apply or repeatedly
apply for a Leave of Absence in response to warnings concerning removal
from the roster for inactivity. In order for a Leave of Absence to be
accepted, the pilot must:
Completed a minimum of one flight for that month prior to the request
being submitted
Any pilot who fails to file a PIREP within the allocated 14 days will have
their pilot account suspended. Extensions will not be granted beyond 180
days except on a case by case evaluation. If a pilot on a Leave of Absence
submits a PIREP during this period, they will be considered to have return
from their Leave of Absence and their status will be placed back to active.
1.5.Airline Ranking System
Pilots are ranked based on several factors, not only from the flight hours
only. This system is made to keep the fairness of the airline duty
simulation.
Senior

Trainee Flight Captain
ent Cadet Officer Captain Captain

To gain ranks, pilot must fulfill all the criteria needed for the certain ranks.
2.1.Maintaining activity
A minimum of one flight and filed pilot report (PIREP) must be submitted
every 30 days. Pilots may not apply for a Leave of Absence in an attempt
to prevent being removed from the roster for inactivity.
Each member of Air Asia Virtual Group who posts in the community
forum, or any flight simulation forum where one is available, is required to
maintain a professional manner at all times. Any and all cases of racism,
rude or discourteous comments, flaming, harassment, profanity and
anything else deemed questionable by forum moderators (reported to the
airline) may result in disciplinary proceedings being instigated to include
suspension or termination from Air Asia Virtual Group. Registrations are
automatically completed upon registration of which a username and
randomly generated password is email to you as well as viewable in the
pilots Crew Room.
All Air Asia Virtual Group pilots will use the appropriate callsign to their
flight (e.g. AWQ/IDX/AXM/AIQ/APG/EZD/XAX/TAX/AAV) with the
appropriate flight number. Your radio callsign is also listed on the flight
briefing page.
For pilot that still use Windows XP, we highly request you to upgrade your
system if you can afford it. Otherwise you can request an exception to the
Membership Department to use k-Acars free. The use of k-Acars free
without any approval from the membership, can be followed by a
suspension.
2.5.PIREP Regulations
Air Asia Virtual Group believes that pilots should operate their aircraft up
to a certain standard and to a degree of realism. To that end Air Asia
Virtual Group have created a separate Pirep Acceptance Policy which
lists criterias which a PIREP will be marked rejected. PIREPs that violated
any part of the criteria will not be accepted. The policy can be found in the
downloads section of the main website.
2.6.Manual PIREPs
Due to the unavailability of suitable resources, we only accept manual
pirep for completed online flights only. Please supply a copy of log from
your Redtrax Flightlog and a screen shot of the tracker data that shows
the complete flight, where take off time and landing time are shown.
2.7.Flight Bookings
For the convenience of other pilot, schedules can be booked by several
pilot at one. However, we will only keep your booked flight for 24 hours
maximum.
2.8.Airlines Change
When pilot registered, they will choose an airline to fly, and will be
assigned to the airline's hub. They can only see the schedules assigned to
the hubs.
Pilot can request transfer to the other airline in the group, with following
criteria have to be met :
ICAO : AWQ
IATA : QZ
Terminal : 3 / Apron G
ICAO : IDX
IATA : XT
C. Air Asia
ICAO : AXM
IATA : AK
Terminal : 2
D. Thai Air Asia
ICAO : AIQ
IATA : FD
ICAO : APG
IATA : PQ
ICAO : EZD
IATA : Z2
G. Airasia X
ICAO : XAX
IATA : D7
Terminal : 2
H. Thai Airasia X
ICAO : TAX
IATA : XJ
Upon registration, pilot will have to choose airline they want to fly. We
group our airlines based on their hub. It means that when your hub is a
hub for another airline, you can fly for that airline too. We also allow pilots
to change their hub whilst their career with us has already started.
3.2.Flight Planning
We require our pilots to properly plan their flight carefully. This includes
these factor :
Payload
Fuel on Board
Route
Cruise Altitude
Documented Procedure
3.3.Fuel Conserving
We at Air Asia Virtual Group realize that non-renewable energy sources is
not to be wasted by some careless flight planning. We require all of our
pilot to plan his flight carefully and efficiently.
3.3.1.Cost Index
All Air Asia Virtual Group flight use CI number 10 on narrow body
fleet, and 55 on wide body fleet
ACARS Stop & Send Pirep to the end of the After Parking Checklist
3.5.Pilots Rotation
Air Asia Virtual Group did not use any Pilot Rotation. Every pilot start the
day with outbound flight, and return later on his last flight of the day to
the same airport he depart for the first flight. Typical destination duty for
Air Asia Virtual Group Pilots is A-B-A-C-A, with the total of the duty hour
is 8 hours maximum per day.
We do not restrict our pilot to follow this real world rotation, but if you
want to add more realism to your simming experience, go fly that way.
3.6.Liveries
We require all of our pilots to fly with correct livery on Air Asia Virtual
Group flights. But, this is not mandatory. Pilot can use any livery if they
cant find any Air Asia livery available for their aircraft add on.
3.7.Hub Transfer
Upon successful registration, pilot will have to choose hub for the base of
his airline operation. However, should any pilot want to change his
operational hub for any reason, we will accommodate the transfer if the
pilot already being active for the last 30 days (send minimum 1 valid pirep
in the last 30 days) at the previous hub, and flown minimum 5 flights total
on the previous hub.
3.8.Simulating Realism
During the duty hours, we expected our pilot to raise the realism into
account within limitation of the flight simulation software itself.
To comply with the realism issues, Slew and Time Acceleration are
forbidden to all of Air Asia Virtual Group Pilots.
All pireps contains slew and/or time acceleration data, will be rejected
without any clarification from the pilot needed.
