What We Are Learning

Week of October 16
Reading We have started the Fantasy Unit. During this unit your children will be
learning about what makes a fantasy story as well as greater meanings from the stories.
Writing We have started the Fantasy Unit. During this unit your children will be
learning about how authors develop good fantasy stories.
Math Chapter 2 Test and starting Chapter 3 Fractions and Mixed Numbers.
Science We are starting our Social Studies Unit.
Social Studies We will be starting our unit on the study of groups; membership,
perspectives, as well as societies and nations all within the context of groups and their
interactions.
French Beginners and Intermediate 1: Student will be learning how to tell time, ask
and answer questions about their daily routines and schedule

Hello Parents,
Hengyi 10/29 Your children started looking deeper into fantasy stories this week. Our
bake sale today was a success and we look forward to another one next
week. We will be finishing up Chapter 2 next week in Math and starting
