AstrategicplanforBethanySchool
wasadoptedin2014.Abigpieceof
thatplanwasimprovingthe
classroomsandbuildings.

Thelasttwoyearshavebeenspent
workingwithEmersionDesign
(Cincinnati)todeterminethebuildingneedsforaBethanySchoolthatcan
continuetothriveforgenerationstocome.Mostofusrememberthatthe
classroomswerealittlesmall,thesciencelababitmurky,andthekitchencould
standtohavesomeworkingappliances.Thenewplanaddressesallthese
needsandmore.Theartist'srenderingsshowanewproposedGrades3-8
building(below)andanewK-2building(above).
Althoughthebuildingsarenew,don'tworry.We'renotabouttolosethecampus
settingortheuniquearchitecturethathasbeenpartofBethanyforover100
years.

You'llbehearingmoreaboutthemastersiteplansoon.Ourvolunteersareout
activelysharingthestoryandwouldlovethechancetovisitwithyouaboutit.

Bishop Michael B. Curry Visits

ThepresidingBishopoftheEpiscopalchurch,the
MostReverendMichaelB.Curry,visitedBethany
SchoolonFriday(Sept23rd)tohelpwithamajor
capitalcampaigneffortplannedfortheschool.

BishopCurryservedasrectoratSt.SimonofCyrene
innearbyLincolnHeights,Ohioduringthe80swhile
alsoservingasBethanyschaplain.Hestillservesas
anadvisortotheCommunityoftheTransfiguration.

WhileoncampusBishopCurrywasfilmedforsome
upcomingpromotionalvideosandlearnedaboutthe
progressofthequietphaseofthecampaignthatisnowunderway.Fulldetails
oftheBishopscommentsaboutBethanywillbeseenwithfuturevideoreleases,
buthedidsharewithusthatBethanyisauniquegemfortheEpiscopalchurch
notingthatnootherschoolhasasmuchdiversity.This is such an easy sell,
said Curry. Bethany not only offers outstanding academics, but it does
so within a very diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and religious
environment."

marketingtheschooltothecommunityandprospective
students.Sharonwillalsobemanagingtheongoingefforts
ofthecapitalcampaignafterourconsultantleavesattheend
oftheyearaswellasworkingtodevelopongoingstrategies
forengagingadditionalfinancialsupportfortheschool.

SharonhasspentthelastfouryearsdirectingthefundraisingeffortsofJunior
Achievment of Cincinnatithroughspecialevents,donorasks,andcorporate
sponsorships.PleasewelcomeSharontotheteam!
