A warrior must first be loyal to his liege lord, and second to his family. To this end, he must be prepared to
die at all times, without being eager for death. A dead warrior can no longer serve his lord and one who
dies at the wrong time has committed a grave disloyalty by depriving his lord of a valuable servant.

A warrior must respect of his elders and his juniors, treating each with dignity. It is imperative that all of a
lords warriors act in concert for the good of the lord and clan. A warrior who acts in a haughty or
disrespectful manner sows dissension among the ranks and harms the good of the clan.

A warrior must be truthful in life and battle, unless such truthfulness would compromise the interests of
lord or family.

A warrior must maintain his body, mind and spirit with rigorous training, studious learning and moderation
in character and behavior. To allow his skills to falter or fail in any way, whether it be because of a
physical, mental or spiritual breakdown, is disloyal.
