The Conference of Honorary Consuls will be held at the Le

Meridien Barbarons Hotel, Mahé from 20th to 22nd October
2009.

overall responsibility for the general organisation of and
arrangements for the meeting.

3. PROGRAMME

A Provisional programme is herewith attached for attention.

 OPENING CEREMONY

The opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday 20th October

2009 at 09.00 hrs.

 SESSIONS

As per the attached programme our meeting will comprise

presentations and panel discussions in working groups. We have
taken the liberty to develop an assignment plan for the panel
discussions. (See attached)

We hope this is acceptable and look forward to your active

participation during this session.

4. CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE

Honorary Consuls are urged to confirm their participation in the

meeting as soon as possible.

5. NOTIFICATION OF TRAVEL SCHEDULES

Honorary Consuls should notify travel plans to the Conference

Co-ordinator (names, travel dates, arrival time and flight
number) no later than 30th September 2009 on the attached
Delegation form (ANNEX A) to facilitate protocol / transport
arrangements on arrival.

6. TRANSPORT

Transport between the airport and hotel resort on arrival and

departure will be arranged.

Transport will also be provided for all official events away from
the main venue.

7. ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS

The Ministry has obtained the following special rate for

accommodation at Le Meridian Barbaron on BB basis:

Garden view room single 130 EUROS

Sea view room single 160 EUROS

Rates include the VAT taxes.

Supplement for a double occupancy is +20 EUROS per night

Honorary Consuls will be responsible for their room and related

charges.

The Ministry will provide lunches and refreshments for the

duration of the meeting.

TRAVELLING

Air Seychelles has been approached to arrange for special rate for our
Consular Representative, which details have already been
communicated to you.

Participants may wish to travel to Seychelles from their base by

connecting with Air Seychelles from one of their gateway (London,
Paris, Rome or Singapore).

DRESS CODE

The dress code for all functions on this occasion will be "smart casual":
short-sleeved shirts for the meetings and long-sleeved shirts for
evening reception. You will not require jackets and ties.

ACCOMPANYING SPOUSES

All accompanying spouses will be invited to attend the official opening

and closing ceremonies and all official receptions. They may, if they so
wish, attend the conference proper as well.
