Creekside Connection is a Miss Thompson taught

forgiveness. She prayed for
God to use her as she
sought to not only teach
these children, but to love
them as well. She became a
new teacher. She lovingly
helped students like Teddy
and by the end of the year
of the students. Miss
Thompson didn’t hear from
Teddy for a long time, then
she received this note:
“Dear Miss Thompson, I
wanted you to be the first

to know. I will be
graduating second in my
class. Love, Teddy Stallard.”
Four years later she got
another note. “Dear Miss
Thompson. They just told
me I will be graduating first
in my class. I wanted you to
be the first to know. The
university has not been easy,
but I like it. Love, Teddy
Stallard.” Four years later:
“Dear Miss Thompson, As
of today, I am Theodore
Stallard, M.D. How about
that? I wanted you to be
the first to know. I am get-
ting married next month,
the 27th to be exact. I want
you to come and sit where
my mother would sit if she
were alive. You are the
only family I have now; Dad
died last year. Love, Teddy
Stallard.” Miss Thompson
went to the wedding and sat
where Teddy’s mother
would have sat because she
let God use her as an
instrument of encourage-
ment.

Youth to Host Worship Service

IMAGINE . . .
 A sanctuary filled with youth
lifting up praise and worship to
God.
 A place where youth are excited
to bring their unchurched
friends.
 A powerful drama representing
the struggles youth are
confronted with along with the
message of hope God provides.
John & Bonita Dove are
coordinating this event with
other youth volunteers from
around the area. Please be in
prayer for this service that
youth will come and bring their
friends, that the message will
touch hearts and youth will be
saved, that lives will be
recommitted to the Lord,

J.O.Y. Health Fair Scheduled

Highlands Regional Medical Center will be providing FREE screenings for blood pressure,
cholesterol, triglycerides, diabetes and PSA at the church Thursday, August 26.

Screening will be conducted from 9:00—11:00 a.m. with a brief informational session at 11:00.
If you plan to participate in the screening, please do not eat anything past 10:00 p.m. August 25.

Coffee, juice and snacks will be available after your blood work is completed. We invite you to

Exciting New Children’s Ministry Coming!

Living Inside Out! We will turn things upside down, backwards and inside out as we begin this
exciting new program for children during the Sunday school hour. Children Pre-K through 5th
grade will be in for a fresh approach to Bible learning.

Mornings will be filled with great music and worship, innovative Bible lessons, object lessons, experiments, games, and much
more. Stay tuned for details coming in the weeks ahead, but most importantly, plan to be a part. You won’t want to miss out!
