themtoaskfor.Thatpiececouldusesomerefinement.Themainthingisthelistoforg'sandcategoriesI'vethoughtof.

IalsotalkedtoDavidPorcarofromPearson,oneofthementorsfromlastyear,andhedidn'taddmuchtothislist,buthe
wasintimatelyfamiliarwithPearson'ssponsorpackagefromlastyear,andhehadanewidea:whatiftheUXTeamat
PearsoncouldofferamobileUXlabtohelpparticipantsduringtheweekend?Aspartoftheweekend,Pearsoncould
haveacohortofteachers,ofcollegestudents,andwithsomeingenuity,theholygrailaclassroomofK12students
presenttodousertestinginthisUXlab.Itcouldbeanonsitepopupclassroom.Davidsaiditwouldmeetaneedfor
PearsonbecausetheUXdepartmenthasbeenexcitedabouttryingtodeploymobileUXlabsa"UXlabinabox"he
calledit.Thissetupcouldincludedocumentcamerasonmobiledevicesthestudentswereusingoreyetrackingdevices.
MythoughtwasthatwecouldofferthisatatimewhenafewteamsalreadyhaveanMVPorsomethingclose(Sunday
morning?)Itcouldbescheduledin45minuteblocks(30mintesting/15minsetup),sowecouldget6teamsininonly4.5
hoursoftime.Maybe4studentblocks,andtwoblockswiththecohortofteachers?NowthatRonhasbeenworkingat
Pearson,Davidwasthinkingthatconnectioncouldbehelpfulinpullingthisoff,andperhapsthatoneSWEduvolunteer
couldcoordinatethiseffort.Ofcourse,abigthreattotheusefulnessofthiseffortwouldbethetechnologymonster.Ifa
classsetofiPadsneedstobesetupwithanapporsomething,thatwouldtakewaylongerthan15minutes,but,ifthere
wereonestaffmemberwhowasjustfocusedonthat,perhapstheycouldcoordinatethelogisticsforthatontheflyand
makesurethesetupwascompletedinadvanceofthatteam'stimeslot?
