Nick Robinson

Nicholas John Robinson (Seattle,

Washington, March 22, 1995) has been an

American actor. He was known for co-

starring in the ABC Family series (now

Freeform) Melissa & Joey in the role of

Ryder Scanlon, Mel Burke's nephew. In

2012, he played Jake Logan in the

original Disney movie Channel,

Frenemies.

He was acting in the movie The Kings of Summer, in company of Gabriel Basso and

Moiss Arias. He was winning the hearts of people to act in Jurassic World, in addition to

being part of the protagonist distribution of the film the fifth wave, being a cinematographic

adaptation of the novel of the same name.

Nick Robinson was born in Seattle, Washington. He has four younger brothers and two

half-brothers older than a previous marriage of his father. He had been to a local children's

theater group called Broadway Bound. He graduated in 2013 from Campbell Hall School.

At age 11, Nick made his professional debut in a theatrical version of A Christmas Carol by

Charles Dickens. He continued to perform in regional theatrical productions throughout the

Seattle area, including To Kill A Mockingbird, Mame, and A Thousand Clowns.

In 2009, after only his second television audition, Robinson had landed the role of Ryder

Scanlon, nephew of Melissa Joan Hart's character in the ABC Family comedy Melissa &

Joey, which premiered on August 17, 2010 achieving an immediate success.

In 2016 it was announced that Robinson stars along with Amandla Stenberg the film

Everything, Everything, based on the book of the same name, written by Nicola Yoon.
