Introduction:
Planting has been one of the most profitable agricultural enterprises especially
here in our country. More and more people are still creating and putting up businesses
in planting.
Establishing a plant business is hard work because we have to be patient,
planting is not easy because most of the time we will encounter season changes that
can damage the plants.

Vision:
Sustained and productive small holder agriculture of the highest quality in terms of
enhanced food production, nutrition, incomes, as well as sustainability.

Mission:
To advance and improve the information on sustainable agriculture through innovations
that improve profitability and quality of life.

Objective:
To sell vegetables that are grown in a backyard
To gain profit at low capital

Target Market:
Holus Hortus target public markets that are near to every group mates houses.
And also to sell to our neighbourhood, classmates, friends, relatives especially for those
interested/vegetarians.

SWOT Analysis
Strength:
Profit oriented business and easy to market?
Weakness:
Only few members of the group are knowledgeable in Planting/Agricultural
industry
Opportunity:
High prices of competitors in the market.
Threats:
Climate change can affect the health and growth of the vegetables. It wont meet
the expected weight of the ready to sell vegetables.
Lot of competitors in the area.
Marketing Mix
Product:
Holus Hortus are here to provide fresh and nutrious vegetables from our
garden/harvest that are higher in nutrients than the ones that have travelled several
thousands miles to get to your grocery store.
Kamatis (Tomatoes) - Tomatoes are biological clock that determines when
theyll produce. Takes as little as 49 days while the heirloom Brandywine takes
up to 100 days, twice the time.
Upo (Bottel guard) grows quickly. It easily from seed and flowers in about 60
days.
Patola (Dishrag gourd) will grow in most climate zones, but they grow the
best in hot weather. Gourds take 180 days total from planting till they produce
ripe fruit.
Sili labuyo (Chili) it may take between 2 to 4 weeks to germinate from seed.
Sitaw (Bush beans) tend to produce a crop over a single period of about two
weeks or so (about 50 days after planting, depending on the variety).

Place/Location of the Business: In Guyong, Sta. Maria Bulacan where all the activity,
process and production is located.
Technique in taking good care of plants:
Make sure the place is clean and it has pure soil with less rocks.
Use garden soil for the plants.
Water the plants everyday.
Use an organic or alternative insecticide that has low cost.
Make sure there is enough sunlight in the planting place.

Environmental Awareness:
Use insecticides that won't harm the health of the person.
Proper disposal of the sachet of insecticides and seeds, grass, dry leaves and
rocks.
Maintain the cleanliness of the area.
