Rajath Raman Operations Head, Hopon
Rajath Raman Operations Head, Hopon
Rajath Raman has Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from BMS College of
Engineering, Bangalore and Masters degree in Operations Research & Management
from North Carolina State University, USA. Though well versed in technical skills
like Data analytics, mathematical modelling and simulation, real world problems in
India like traffic requires more than that - people management. At one side there's
demand management, largely originating from corporate companies who are
unwilling to open up sharing of transport resources between companies along with
flexibility in work hours for employees. On the other hand, there's supply - managed
by transport vendors who fail to see the greater cause beyond profits.
It takes a huge effort to convince these stakeholders that the vision for HopOn is in
line with their current interests but needs restructuring as per changing needs of the
city - for which we feel we are well placed to handle if supported well by the
Government in our journey.
