Dear Mrs. Stitt:

I would like to apply for the Bradford Instrumental Music Scholarship because I am the best
candidate. I am the best candidate because I have been involved in music my whole life and
music is important to me.

I have been playing clarinet since fourth grade and have been part of the Bradford Marching
Owls since seventh grade. Also, I learned how to play mallet instruments in tenth grade so that I
could take another band class. As you can see, I am very dedicated to music.

Receiving this scholarship would prove that my dedication to music has been recognized and
appreciated. I would like to show to people just how important music is and how much it can
help and touch people's lives.
