Group 23, Redbirds for Vets, 9/28 Minutes


Meeting time: 5 pm in Milner Library

Call to order: 5:00pm Milner 3rd floor

Members present: Jenessa, Shannon, Austin, Andrew, Travis, Ben


Members absent Frankie

Review and approve minutes of previous meeting: minutes were correct and up to date.

Reminder to post selfie.

Member reports

Historian- Last Thursday worked on the proposal and organized materials for upcoming events.

Liaison- Gathered contact information for Operation Santa, emailing contacts from organization.

Webmaster- uploaded agendas and minutes to website, updated information on website


Recorder- Completed agenda for this meeting, turn in minutes by Friday

Old business (any ongoing topics, issues, concerns): Continuing the role changes made last week, re
voted to keep Shannon as the recorder. Where we would hold any events/ locations.
New business: We discussed ideas for the team logo, also decided who would be the one to go about
making it. Decided we are going to use Reggie with military clothing for the design. Also, decided that
we will have a Christmas theme with the logo. For fundraising idea, we came up with, raffle baskets,
50/50 raffle, golf outing, Charity dinner at JD Walkers, Jazz Dinner. Trivia Nights, VFW, ROTC,
DOUBLE TREE. We discussed ideas for dinners that we could host and where we could hold it. We then
ranked the ideas from ones we decide would be most ideal to least. We then looked over the proposal and
decided if we wanted to keep the SMART goal we set last week when there was 7 of us. The webmaster
and treasurers discussed how they would

set up the account or the fundraising. Finally, we discussed what everyone needs to do the final meeting.
