Banner’s experience and knowledge in sensor development, paired with their
battery-powered wireless system creates a simple turnkey customer solution.

After careful consideration of several systems, the operators of the landfill determined that the Banner Wireless system was the only solution that could
meet all imposed standards and seamlessly co-exist with other devices already in place at their site.
With the help of integrator Wilson Mohr, they were able to create a system that could take data from below ground and make it accessible at the desk of
the end user.

The Solution
1. One battery powered Node at the top of each well powers the radio and the ultrasonic analog level sensor.
2. Each Node is equipped with a specialized low-power 4-20 mA analog level sensor developed by Banner, The Sensor Specialist.
3. One 10-30V dc powered Gateway controls the system.
4. The Data Radio and Modbus master controller module enhance portability of data.
5. Red Lion G3 HMI equipped with an Ethernet interface enables multi-user access for night and day operators.
6. Omni-directional antenna extends range of Gateway-Node communication up and over the hill and across the landfill site.

Advantages
1. There is no need for panel fabrication. Two screws hold the Banner wireless device in place.
2. Cutting-edge power management capabilities and an internal battery eliminate long haul cabling.
3. A greatly-reduced cost of installation.
4. All Banner wireless devices are weatherproof and can be sealed to comply with IP67 ratings.
5. Simple removal and/or reconnect when necessary as the pits fill in and re-open.
6. Banner wireless devices use a standard Modbus communication protocol for simple interoperability.
7. Banner wireless devices combine the radio with all I/O in one box, minimizing the cost of parts and maintenance.
8. Banner wireless devices have built-in diagnostic properties that send out alarms prior to complete shutdown, minimizing down time.
9. Banner’s SureCross wireless system is completely scalable and can adapt as the operators fill in and create new wells.
