ELECTROMANIA

Team Event (Y16) Points: 35

Introduction
One of the earliest encounters we had with the world of video games is in the form of hand held video
games. Having one was every childs dream and it was the first item in our birthday list. Well, now the time
has come to relish your childhood dream by building our own game.

Problem Statement
The aim of the competition is to design and build a lonely T-Rex game using LEDs for display. The object
of the game is to avoid collision with the incoming Hurdles by jumping over them

Task
The Dinosaur (Player LED) and the Hurdles should be represented by different colour LED.
There must be a minimum of 2*4 LED matrix.
The game must be over if the Dinosaur collides with any of the hurdles
The Score should be incremented after each obstacle is avoided
Occurrences of the Hurdles should be random
You need to avoid the obstacles by jumping over them and coming back to the original position after
each jump.

Constraints
Only non-programmable ICs can be used.
You have to make your circuit on breadboard
Use of any micro-controller is prohibited

General Rules
A team of maximum 4 members can be formed.
The participating team must necessarily register themselves for the event.
There can be any number of teams from each pool.
You will be issued components only after you have submitted an abstract of your idea
The teams must adhere to the spirit of healthy competition
The teams must not damage their fellow participants circuit in any way
Judges reserve the right to disqualify any team indulged in misbehaviour
In case of any dispute, judges decision would be the final decision.

Judging Criteria
The judging criteria favours a proper layout of the components along with a robust circuit
All basic compulsory features should be implemented, and only after their evaluation would extra
Extra features be considered and assessed.
Any extra feature added in your circuit would add to your score
You need to prepare a flowchart on an A-3 size sheet (during evaluation) to present the complete logic
