your tuition fee we will arrange visa length health cover through OSHC Worldcare. You may use other

 Please note: From 2012 the University will be implementing a major change to its course structures. If a
deferred commencement date is requested from 2012 onwards, and as a result of course changes the
Master of Marketing - Coursework is no longer available, the University will take reasonable steps to
identify pathways leading to study in a similar course for which you may be qualified. For up to date
information on New Courses 2012, please refer to www.newcourses2012.uwa.edu.au
 This offer is made subject to successful completion of your Masters Degree from the
University of the Punjab.
 Please note that this offer is made subject to the sighting of original academic
documents. These documents must be produced prior to enrolment, to the Postgraduate
International Centre.
 Please note that if you accept this offer you are advised to allow two weeks prior to the
commencement of classes to complete all enrolment procedures.
 You accept your offer in two steps. The first is returning the signed Acceptance of Offer form to
the International Centre by Thursday, 26 August 2010.The second is confirmation of
acceptance by paying the first tuition payment as specified above. To find out how to make

Please also note the following information: -

 In addition to your tuition fee and medical cover, you will need additional funds to cover various
items, eg airfares, textbooks and the cost of living in Perth (estimated at AUD $350 / week).
There may also be ancillary fees applicable to your course (please refer to your faculty
information at www.teachingandlearning.uwa.edu.au/students/fees). You are advised not to
budget in anticipation of obtaining part-time employment on or off-campus.

 If you intend to bring your family, schooling is available in private schools and in a number of
government schools. To be eligible for tuition-free schooling of children, fee-paying students
must be enrolled for either a Masters or PhD course. Please ensure that you liaise with me if you
wish to place your children in a government school. Any educational costs incurred will be at
your expense. Your dependents will be placed as near to your home address as possible.
 Accommodation on campus or close to the University is in high demand so it is advisable that
you consider your accommodation options as early as possible. For information regarding

A copy of our Pre-Departure Guide for International Students, as well as details about airport reception
and the Orientation will be forwarded to you prior to your arrival in Australia.

I, the undersigned, hereby ACCEPT/ DO NOT ACCEPT (delete as appropriate) the offer of a place dated 30 July 2010,
in the course specified below:

Subject to the following conditions:


1. The tuition fee listed above is based on a standard full time student load of (48 points) for the calendar year offered. The
tuition fee is subject to annual review. Any tuition fee increases will not exceed 7.5% per annum. I acknowledge that I am
responsible for the costs of my accommodation and general living expenses.
2. The annual tuition fee is payable in two instalments on a semester basis, except in unusual circumstances approved by the
Director, International Centre.
3. The first tuition fee payment shall be paid to The University of Western Australia upon formal acceptance of this offer. In
subsequent semesters of re-enrolment, fees are to be paid no later than the first day of each semester. The fee payable is
based on actual enrolment load in each semester in accordance with condition 1 above.
4. I have read and agree to the conditions of the refund policy. (The refund policy is on the reverse side of this sheet and is in
accordance with the policy of Universities Australia and the refund specifications set by the Department of Education
Services.)
5. I understand that if I become an Australian permanent resident prior to my enrolment this offer of admission as an
international student becomes null and void.
6. In the event of my gaining Australian permanent resident status after I have commenced my studies (i.e. after the first day of
semester), I must provide proof of my change in status by taking my passport to the Student Administration Office and the
International Centre. I need to do this soon after getting my passport endorsed with the necessary approval. I understand
that my enrolment in the course specified above will continue to be on a full fee paying basis until such time as The
University of Western Australia may offer an Australian Commonwealth Supported Place to me.
7. I accept the course credit (if any) detailed in my Offer Letter.
8. I understand that it is a condition of my Student Visa that I notify UWA of any change of address while enrolled in my course.
9. I understand that all students enrolled at The University of Western Australia are automatically assigned a basic, web-based
email address, and that the University will use this email address to send me official correspondence, including written notice
if I do not make satisfactory course progress.
10. I acknowledge that the information collected on this form and during enrolment is gathered as part of the University’s
obligations under the ESOS Act and the National Code 2007 to ensure student compliance with the conditions of student
visas and their obligations under Australian immigration laws generally. The authority to collect this information is contained
in the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the Education Services for Overseas Students Regulations 2001
and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas

POLICY FOR REFUND OF FEES
This agreement, and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove the right of the student to take action under
Australia's consumer protection laws. All applications for a refund of fees should be sent, in writing, to:

1. Total withdrawal from a course


1.1 Total Refund
Tuition fees paid in advance are fully refundable in the event that:
 a student’s application for a visa is unsuccessful, or
 an offer of a place is withdrawn, or
 the University is unable to provide the programme.
However, if the offer was made on the basis of incorrect or incomplete information being supplied by the student, the University is entitled to
retain an administration fee of 10%.
1.2 Partial Refund
Where a commencing student gives written notice of their withdrawal from the course at least four weeks before the start of the semester,
all tuition fees paid in respect of the semester are refundable, less an administrative fee of 10% of the fee for one semester or $1000,
whichever is the lesser.
Where a commencing student gives written notice of their withdrawal from the course less than four weeks before the start of the semester,
the student will be eligible for a refund of 50% of tuition fees paid in respect of the semester.
A student who withdraws from a course for whatever reason within the first four teaching weeks of a semester shall be eligible for a refund
of 50% of their semester fee liability, based on their enrolment on the first day of that semester.
1.3 No refund
A student who withdraws from a course for whatever reason beyond the fourth teaching week of the course shall not be eligible for a
refund.
No refund of fees will be given to a student who is requested to leave Australia because of a breach of their student visa conditions.
No refund of fees will be given to a student who is requested to leave the University due to a serious breach of the University’s regulations.

2. Withdrawal from Summer School (Semester 3) units


2.1 Total Refund
In the event that a student gives written notice of their withdrawal from a unit before the start of Summer School (Semester 3), the tuition
fee will be refunded in full.
2.2 Partial Refund
Where a student gives written notice of their withdrawal from a unit within the first four weeks of Summer School (Semester 3), the student
will be eligible for a refund of 50% of the unit fee.
2.3 No refund
A student who withdraws from a unit for whatever reason beyond the fourth teaching week of Summer School (Semester 3), shall not be
eligible for a refund.

3. Cancellation of course by UWA


In the unlikely event that UWA is unable to deliver a course in full, an affected student will be offered a full refund of all the course money
paid to date. The refund will be paid to the student within two weeks of the day on which the course ceased to be provided.

Alternatively, the student may be offered enrolment in a suitable course delivered by UWA at no extra cost. The student will have the right
to choose either a full refund of course fees, or to accept a place in another course. If placement in another course is preferred, the student
will be asked to sign a document to indicate that they have accepted the placement.
