Once the number: is represented in base
10 blocks. Begin divicing the base 10
blocks into groups of three, Draw 3 boxes or
circles and Share the base i0 blocks into
‘three groups:
When we divide the 7 groups of ten into
roups there is 1 group of fen left over.
We put the 3 1's into groups and there
are ho 1's left over.
To finish sharing the last group of 10, it
needs to be traded for 10° 1's,3)73 or _73+3

How to use cut outs for Base 10 instead of
Base 10 blocks:

Copy pattern on to heavy card stock.
Cut out several blocks of the hundred square
Cut out several strips from the hundred block
for 10 strips.
Cut out many one’s from the tens or hundreds.
These will last much longer if they are laminated.
