DEVELOPMENT WORK OPPORTUNITY

TRAINING ASSISTANT
The Microinsurance MBA Association of the Philippines, Inc. (aka RIMANSI) is a non-profit
resource center and Association of mutual microinsurers in the Philippines providing business
development support services to development finance organizations and mutual benefit
associations (MBAs) in the establishment and strengthening of member-owned and member-
governed microinsurance programs. In line with this, RIMANSI is looking for a socially-oriented
individual who can anchor the implementation of various activities under the program.

The Training Assistant (TA) will primarily support in the coordination of training and non-training
needs with technical partners and consultants, and assist in organizing network-level
workshops, seminars, and trainings. The duties also include administrative and personnel work,
and day to day activities in line with the organizations objectives and business goals. The TA
will do support duties in the following areas:

Assist in the identification and discussion with member-organizations the training and
non-training needs and the terms of reference for capacity building;
Assist and coordinate with local and international consultants in the delivery of
technical assistance to members;
Provide support in identifying, organizing, and designing network level workshops,
seminars, and trainings that will support development and compliance of member-
organizations;
Assist in the training and education of members related to governance, management,
and operations;
Coordinating logistical support for activities including travel requirements and venue
for meetings, workshops, trainings, and other activities;
Liaising work with government agencies, partners and stakeholders involved in training
activities;
Customizing and monitoring contracts and agreements with consultants and partners;
Consolidating, and organizing a filing system for reports, documents, materials, minutes
of meetings and other information related to training activities;
Drafting letters and communications to partners and other stakeholders;
Prepare periodic reports and articles as may be required by program partners; and
Performing such other functions as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in social sciences, communications, development studies, business


administration, and related disciplines;
Good written, verbal and communication skills;
Good knowledge and skills in computer office applications;
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
