I was very excited to see that there is a registered nurse opening on the pediatric ICU on the SMH
website. I am writing this in regards to the full-time days position. Please accept my enclosed resume; it
contains in depth material concerning my education and experience.
I am currently enrolled at the University of South Florida College of Nursing and will graduate with my
BSN in August of 2018. During my clinical rotations at Tampa General Hospital I had the opportunity to
follow nurses who were passionate about this profession. Throughout my time at TGH I was able to
refine skills learned in lab, learn how to be a nurse, and learn how to effectively communicate with other
healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. I believe that with employment on your unit I would
be able to demonstrate these competencies as while as continuing to learn. I value honesty, teamwork, and
integrity. I react quickly to changing situations while remaining positive, I am able to work easily with
others and independently, and I can effectively communicate with others. With employment onto your
unit I can guarantee to you that I will provide the best possible to care to all the patients that I will
encounter and their families in this vulnerable time for them.
