808 PC Software Interface
The software will offer the user access to the following The main use of the software is to EDIT the
options: configuration currently loaded. If this option is
selected the following sub-menu is available:
LOAD previous configurations from disk Edit MISCELLANEOUS items
SAVE new configurations to disk Edit the CONFIGURABLE INPUTS
READ the existing configuration from the module
Edit the RELAY OUTPUTS
WRITE a new configuration to the module
Edit the FRONT PANEL LED's
EDIT the configuration currently loaded in the PC
Edit the SYSTEM TIMERS
View the DIAGNOSTIC display from the module
Edit the ANALOGUE LEVELS
CALIBRATE the modules meter drive output
SET-UP the software such as COM port selection For further details on using the software,
QUIT to DOS please refer to the 808 Software Manual
Specification
DC SUPPLY DIMENSIONS:
The 808 interface kit is powered from the module to 57mm x 55mm x 16mm
which it is connected so no external power supply is
required to the interface. The module however will OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE:
need to be connected to a suitable DC supply. -15 to 55oC
INDICATIONS: PC REQUIREMENTS:

CONNECTION:
The interface should be connected to the appropriate PC COM port on your computer system and the FCC68
cable inserted into the socket on the rear of the module to be configured. The module will require a suitable DC
power supply connected to it.

! CAUTION:
The standard 808 interface is intended for use with Lap-top type PC's or off engine
configuration from desktop type PC's, as it does not isolate the PC ground from the Module
Ground. If it is required to use an earthed desktop type PC for on engine diagnostics an
optically isolated version is available.
