The Recreated Human Spirit

M an is a spirit; when he is born again, he receives the life and nature of God into
his spirit. The changes that are later observed in his soul and body are activated
from his spirit. This is why God wants you to nurture and develop your spirit because it
is only through your spirit that you can make contact with Him.
You need constantly to feed and nurture your heart with the Word of God. Im not
talking about the organ that pumps blood through your body but your human spirit
which acts as the soil for the Word of God; the human spirit feeds on the Word of God.
No wonder the Lord Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that
proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). That way, even your mind becomes
productive, fruitful, renewed and completely void of the devils thoughts and ideas. Feed
your spirit with Gods Word!
God doesnt appeal to the human mind or the senses because the mind limits God.
Rather, He appeals to your spirit. He communicates and leads you through your spirit.
The Bible says the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord (Proverbs 20:27). So the light of
God is not in your mind but in your spirit. This is where the Word of God illuminates;
For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness (Psalm
18:28).
The forces of life are domiciled in your spirit, but youve got to cultivate them! Gods
life, character and nature are already deposited in your human spirit; but you must
spend time to cultivate and nurture your spirit by learning and merditating on the Word.
1 Peter 2:2 says that you should desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow
thereby.
