Critics:

You are a childrens book critic. Throughout the school year, we have read multiple short stories and
chapter books as our before lunch activity. I have listed five on them below. You will put yourself in
the narrator, or main characters shoes in order to describe their traits, feelings, or motivations.

What are we doing?

After reading each story, you will pick ONE character from ONE story and explain their feelings, traits,
and motivations throughout the story.

Web Resources
The Lion and the Mouse - even enemies can help each other.

The Rat Princess -people are not always how they appear.

The Dragon and the Prince the tale of a hero.

So Lets Get Busy!

STEPS:

1. Pick which character you will speak about.

2. Choose either traits, motivations, or feelings about the character that you wish to share.

3. Develop an educated response about your character using the previous step.

4. when finished, tell the teacher so they can look over your response.

5. When complete, the teacher will add your name onto the sharing list

6. From your chair, you will tell the class who you chose, and then say the traits, motivations, or feelings.

7. This project is due on Monday 10/23
