tourist destinations. For Filipinos, their country is not all about the place but it also values the
Filipinos own food recipes. The Philippine Government, as of today, seeks to improve the
tourism in the country because it greatly contributes to its economic growth.

Antipolo, officially as the City of Antipolo, is a city in the province of Rizal, Philippines located 26
kilometres (16 mi) east of Manila. It is the provincial capital of Rizal, the most-populous city in
the CALABARZON region, and the seventh most-populous city in the Philippines with a
population of 776,386 in 2015. The city was named after the tipolo (breadfruit) tree (Artocarpus
Blancoi), which was in abundance in the area. Antipolo is in the northern half of Rizal Province,
close to its meridional center. It is found on the slopes of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range.
Much of the city sits on a plateau averaging 200 meters. It has the second largest area in the
province with an area of 156.68 km. The northern and southern sections of the city are in the
dense forest areas of the Sierra Madre. Antipolo is landlocked; bounded to the north by San
Mateo and Rodriguez; to the east by Tanay; to the south by Angono, Taytay and Teresa; and to
the west by Cainta and Marikina City in Metro Manila. Antipolo's population in the 2015 census
was enumerated at 776,386 inhabitants. It grew at an annual rate of 4.19 percent from the 2000
figure. Annual population growth rate has slowed relatively remains above the annual national
average of 2.04 percent. The 2007 figure is three times the population of the city in 1990.

The city of Antipolo is popular for being a pilgrimage site in the Philippines. In fact, it is dubbed
as the Pilgrimage Capital of the Philippines. Other than this, the city also has natural sites that
are worth it to visit. One is the Luljettas Hanging Gardens and Spa, the first and only hanging
garden spa in the Philippines. It is a famous relaxing place in Antipolo, Rizal. This beautiful
retreat place, situated inside the lively grounds of Loreland Farm Resort, features impressive
views of nature through the gardens that hang from ridges of a mountain, thus the name
hanging gardens. It also gives a beautiful panoramic views of Laguna De Bay and the Metro
Manila skyline which is one the reasons why it is visited by a lot of tourists.

Luljettas Hanging Gardens and Spa is managed by Mr. Ramon Marinas. The place showcases
the Filipino culture and architecture. It takes inspiration from the old Babylonian hanging
gardens from its exquisite decorations. It has fish spas, a hydro-massage pool, warm jacuzzi
and sauna and an infinity pool. It also has a few lounges for relaxing, playing sungka or native
music instruments or watching a movie. It also offers various services including massages and
body scrubs. Its surrounded by trees and shrubs, there are zen-like gardens and statues
everywhere, a constant relaxing sound and soft bell rings in the background. The facilities are
well thought of and provides a breathtaking mountain view.

Although it is a relaxing and peaceful place to be at, the Luljettas Hanging Gardens and Spa is
at risk in accommodating tourists because of its growing popularity. The group of researchers
proposes a development plan for Luljettas Hanging Gardens & Spa to promote the place and
give a unique experience for the tourists. It is the chosen place because of its sustainability and
the vast number of tourists that visit the place. The demand and number of these people will
serve as the target market of the proposed development plan. The plan is to develop the suites,
provide more activities to exhibit fun and adventure and to propose a Dinner In The Sky
themed restaurant in its location.

The goal and objectives of the researchers is to provide and develop sustainability and to make
the place the center of attraction in Antipolo, Rizal. This research will also create a big impact to
the Department of Tourism in the Philippines because the proposed development plan will
positively increase tourist demands. It also aims to fulfill the needs and wants of the tourists by
providing a vast number of amenities and accommodations. By this, the place will not only be a
place of relaxation and peace but also it will exhibit fun and excitement that will provide an
unforgettable and remarkable experience for the tourists.
