Sample Narrative

The Nu-Noots

One day in a land far away, there were beautiful, colored Truffula Trees and

a place to play. I am a small Nu-noot who lives in the trees with my happy family.

My body blends in with the Truffula Trees so I can protect myself from all of our

evil enemies.

Not long ago, I woke up early in the day to the sound of the Truffula Trees

being cut down in every which way. What to do and where to live? I yelled and I

cried until all the Nu-noots woke up and dressed up as spies.

Later that night, we snuck out all alone to destroy all the Thneeds and

replaced them with signs that said STOP KILLING OUR HOME! The Once-ler

woke up in shock when he saw everyone putting up big blocks. No more Truffula

Trees were to be taken down, the message was clear, the whole town believed

that the Nu-noots were the smartest creatures around.
