PROFESSIONAL EXPIERENCE

In the spring of 2016, I went to Andros Island in the Bahamas. There I conducted my own
experiment/research where I looked at diversity of invertebrates with-in the three inter-tidal
zones of a rocky shoreline. This was done by sampling 10 similarly sized tidal pools in each of
the 3 zones. In each pool the following data was collected; Ph, salinity, area, temperature and
amount of invertebrates and what species of invertebrates were in the tidal pool. The data was
assembled into a data table and I presented my findings. Through the research it was found
that the most diverse zone was the yellow zone and that diversity increases as you get closer
to the ocean. I received credit for a class called ecology of the Bahamas through this research trip.
