Skills:
To become a vet technician you have to know how to use communication skills I learned how to
use them working in both in my past experiences. I was expected to talk to customers when
making their food or when they paid for the item. Another characteristic that I obtain that will
help me in this career I selected is patience you have to have many patience when working with
animals. Most of them are scared and may try to protect themselves. I acquired this skill in my
past experience because I worked with different customers with different attitudes. You have to
remember to stay calm in all times. Another personality trait is problem solving which is really
important. Animals cant speak and require from your full attention to figure out what is wrong
with them. I worked with money in my past experiences and I required to problem solve when a
customer has a problem with change. Customers may also have a problem with food or
something that they arent happy about. All these skills help me to become a great vet
technician and be prepared for the career.
