SHOT PICTURE DESCRIPTION OF ACTION/TYPE AND LENGTH OF

SHOT/MUSIC/DIALOGUE/LOCATION
1. Medium shot this shot will be used for our
expert who will be sat on either the left or right-
hand side of the screen, looking into the space of
the opposing side. Music will be played before and
after the interview, quietly while introducing our
expert. This music will have to have a low tone but
also link into the topic while introducing our
important expert. The expert will be sat at a desk
in a classroom while they answer our questions.
The MES will include some emoji items that we
will bring in (emoji mug) and also a poster about
English language.
2. Establishing/wide shot this will be used to film
our archival footage which will appear after the
expert interview, while graphics/animation of
stats and statistics edited onto the archival
footage which would be edited to be made blurry
so that the audience can focus on the graphics.
This will display information while a voice over
explains how his links into our topic and backs our
argument.
3. Medium long shot this shot will be used while
the presenter (Becky) is talking and presenting the
information to the audience. We will use both on
screen and off-screen presenter which we feel is
more effective. While the presenter is seen on
screen she will be walking or standing still in the
most appropriate area which will be Solihull sixth
from canteen where the primary target audience
will be in the background and is where they spend
the majority of their free time between lessons.
4. Medium close up this shot will follow the
medium long shot where there will be vox pops
where we will be asking the students of Solihull
Sixth Form what they thought about emojis and
other questions related to our topic. These Vox
pops will take place in the collage canteen with
the students being seen in the background on
their phones and including the mise-en-scene of
emojis.
5. Long shot this shot will then be used as more
background footage will be used for background
footage where when were talking about the older
public we will show a long shot of people walking
around in Solihull touchwood. This will have a
voice over while more facts and figures are being
shown through the use of graphics and charts.
While this shot is being used there will also be a
voice over which will be talking about the facts
and figures while theyre on screen.
6. Low angel shot this shot will be used as more
background footage while the off-screen
presenter is talking about the information we
collected through our questionnaire that was
handed out to our primary and secondary target
audience. The information will be typed out using
graphics and then image will be slightly blurred as
we dont want it to be the center of attention.
7. Over the shoulder shot this shot will be filmed in
the canteen over one students should showing
another student sat in front of them on their
phone. This will be used as background footage
that can be used while our off-screen presenter is
talking and in-between vox pops and expert
interview. The mise-en-scene seen within this shot
will be the mobile phones the two students will be
using as they wont be verbally talking to each
other.
