PROJECTIONS OF LINES INCLINED TO BOTH PLANES

1. A line measuring 80 mm long has one of its ends 30 mm above H.P and 20 mm in
front of V.P. The other end is 15 mm above H.P and in front of V.P. The front view of
the line is 60 mm long. Draw the projections of the line.
2. A line MN 70 mm long has M 10 mm above H.P and 15 mm in front of V.P. Its top
view and front view measure 60 mm and 40 mm, respectively. Draw the projections
of the line and determine its inclinations with H.P and V.P.
3. One end of the line AB is in the first quadrant, 20 mm above H.P and 30 mm in front
of V.P. The other end is 40 mm behind V.P and 50 mm below H.P. The distance
between the projectors of the line is 60 mm. Draw the projections of the line and find
its true length.
4. The end A of the line AB is in the HP and 15 mm in front of V.P. The end B is 50 mm
behind the VP and 40 mm below HP. The distance between the end projectors is 50
mm. Draw the projections of the line and determine its true length and true
inclinations with HP and VP.
5. A line PQ 100 mm long is inclined at 45 0 to the HP and 300 to the VP. Its end P is in
the HP and end Q is in the VP. Draw the projections of the line and determine its
apparent inclinations if the line is in the fourth quadrant.
6. Draw the projections of a straight line PQ 100 mm long is lying on an auxiliary
inclined plane inclined at 450 to the ground. The line inclined 30 0 to the VP, with the
end P is on the HP and 25 mm in front of VP.
7. Plan of a line AB 90 mm long measures 65 mm. End A is 15 mm below HP and 50
mm in front of VP. Draw the projections and determine its inclinations with the
reference planes when the end B lies in the first quadrant 15 mm in front of VP.
8. Determine the traces of all the straight lines given in the above problems.
