Practice 2-1: Navigating Basics

Browser requirement: Use Google Chrome version 42+ to complete all demonstrations and
practices in this training course.

Practices Overview
In this practice, you will navigate some basic elements in the user interface.

Prerequisites: None.
User Login: scmXX.student (XX is the student number assigned to you)

Steps
1. In the Navigator, click Inventory under the Warehouse Operations heading.
2. Select organization 001 then click OK. The Manage Item Quantities dialog displays.
3. Click the Help icon to display the Help available for the dialog box.
4. Click the Home icon.
5. In the Welcome Springboard, click Warehouse Operations and then Inventory. The
Manage Item Quantities dialog displays.
6. Click the Help icon in the Search Results area. Topics specific to Search Results area are
listed in the User Assistance Pop-up. Click X to exit.
7. In the Item field enter: AS25175.
8. Click Search. The item is displayed in the Search Results area.
9. Click your user login name to display the Settings and Actions menu.
10. Click Applications Help to review the Applications Help Portal.
11. In the Search box, enter: Manage Item Quantity.
12. In the Product filter, select Inventory Management under Supply Chain.
13. Select What's the difference between primary quantity and secondary quantity? to
view the help topic.
14. Click the browser tab with the Application open.
15. In the Navigator, select Product Information Management under the Product
Management heading.
16. In the Tasks Panel tab, select Manage Items.
17. Select Actions, then Create to create a new item. The Create Item dialog displays.
18. Click Cancel.
19. Click the Create (+) icon. The Create Item dialog displays.
20. Click Cancel.
