Better than Revenge
Bullying is an old problem that remains
difficult to bring under control, in part
because technology offers new ways for kids
to pick on one another.
Cyberbullying also means the problem
can be constant gone are the days when
kids just dreaded an encounter on the bus or
during the schoolday. Through cell phone
texts, emails, and social media sites, bullies
can torment their victims 24 hours a day.
Picked-on kids can feel like they're getting
blasted nonstop and that there is no escape.

Too Special?
Not more than 3 years ago, the
renovation of several classrooms was
announced. It was said to be completed on or
before the end of the school year. But little
attention was given, and to the peoples
surprise, a new office building is getting
constructed.
Several classrooms were demolished for
its sake, now that the new division office site
is starting its construction on Dasmarinas
National High School. Surely, DNHS
population density would rise once again. In
this case, students would forcily abide
themselves with little space on their rooms

know just how many are
affected. But it's estimated
that one third of teens have
been victims of some form of
online bullying. Yet they often
don't realize it happens to so
many of their peers, adding to
their sense of ioslation. As the
pressure builds, victims can
experience anxiety,
depression, lack of confidence
and other stress related
disorders. The family should
be the first to teach their
children good deeds. There's a
saying that Don't do unto
others what you don't want
them to do to you.

first gained years ago.

Teen pregnancy is an issue that is very
delicate among different people. Most people try
to simply avoid it, thinking that the issue does
not exist if it does not involve them. But really,
is there a good way to handle the situation?
The number of teen pregnancies high
school is most likely blown out of proportion.
Despite exaggerations, it has become difficult to
walk through the halls during a four-minute
passing period without seeing someone who is
pregnant or already has a child.
All high-schoolers are required to take a
health class around sophomore year to be
informed about all things pertaining to health,
specifically safe sex and the risks of sexual
activity. Educating them properly about sexual
education will allow them to realize the effect of
early sex. They must be taught the importance
of wedding before the baby.
There is nothing wrong about being
pregnant as a teen. Sometimes, teenage
mothers turn out to be great parents for they
prove that they can.
Many teenagers do have part-time jobs, but
most are not prepared to provide for themselves
or another being. One thing often overlooked in
teen pregnancy is the quality of life for the
children.
Grandparents and extended family are
hopefully available to provide support for both
mom and baby.
There are multiple television shows
glorifying teen pregnancies. Since media is
making those teenagers famous, and everyone
else is silent because they do not want to offend
anyone, unfortunately, there really is not
anyone discouraging teen pregnancies.
What nickname will the next generation be
dubbed? While we are the most technologically
advanced generation to date, do we also want to
be the cause of overpopulation? Besides, the
world population has exceeded 9 billion. If
people want to continue to live unlike sardines,
then teenage unplanned pregnancies should be
prevented and decreasing, not thriving.
